Cemetery/Funeral Home/Chapel Mausoleum - The only family owned combination Funeral Home and Cemetery in Pensacola.

If you buy in advance the money is securely held in the Trust Department of SunTrust Bank in Pensacola

Pensacola Memorial Gardens was founded in 1954 by Harry and Mildred Sutton. Their basic philosophy was to build a memorial park cemetery of beauty - one that provides a place of serenity and depicts LIFE, HOPE, LOVING CARE, and a NEW BEGINNING; also, a cemetery that would have perpetual care throughout the centuries, even after all the spaces are filled.
To date, only 25 of the 61 acres purchased have been developed in the cemetery. This leaves plenty of space for continued growth. Statues of Christ, the Last Supper, and the Apostles sculpted in Italy from pure Carrara marble by renowned artists are a few of the features that enhance the gardens.

Louise Sutton Miller became the President of Pensacola Memorial Gardens in 1987 after her father's death and her mother's retirement, and is in that position today. She oversaw the construction of the Funeral Home in 1995, allowing PMG to serve families in all aspects of their death care needs. A Chapel Mausoleum, constructed in 1998, provides more than 600 crypt and niche spaces with both interior and exterior spaces available. New gardens were opened in 1998 and 2000, and we still have room to grow on 36 remaining acres.

Comments from families concerning service:

"I recently lost my mother and had no idea how many decisions were involved in getting some buried. From the location of the grave site, to the music played in the ceremony, to the obituary to the marker. But the staff patiently guided me through every step. I couldn't have asked for better and kinder support during this time.

"This was a time when I knew absolutely nothing of what to do.You were there to help us thru it. Thanks will never be enough."

"We loved the extra touch with laminated obituaries and pictures of the flowers."

"We were very impressed with your personal touches and professionalism."

"Thank you for all the kindness you have shown our family during the homecoming of my sister. You patiently explained the step by step process and willingly answered questions."

"The day of the funeral, when I entered the chapel, I was amazed at the beauty of the setting."

"I don't know how a better service could be conducted. It fulfilled all our needs above and beyond expectations."

"My friends commented on how nice the grounds looked as well as the chapel. All the personnel were very friendly, helpful, courteous and warm hearted."
