Herman F. Ross, 91, of Pensacola, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013. Born on June 1, 1921 to the late Harold Scott and Eleanor Campbell Ross in Pensacola, FL, he was a life-long resident of the area. A US Army World War II veteran, he served in the African Campaign and returned home to work as a Leaderman with Armstrong Industries and retired after many years of dedicated service. Herman was a faithful and longtime member of Klondike Baptist Church. Preceded in death are his parents; wife, Fannie; a brother, Junior and grandson, Billy Thompson. Survivors include two stepsons, Wayne Turberville (Betty) and Fred Thompson (Lorell) and a stepdaughter, Mary Hardy (Jim); three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and a very dear friend, Art Jones. A visitation will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, February 25, 2013 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home until services begin at 4:00 pm. Interment will be private at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
