Sandra M. Mead went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 28th so that she may watch over us from Heaven. She was born October 29, 1948 in Port Arthur, TX, the Daughter of G.W. Mercer and Lillian H. Mercer. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Rogers Mead. She is preceded in death by her parents and her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Dan R. Terrell. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, daughters, Tami (Mike) Jackson’ Jesi (Jeff) Goynes; brother, Gerald W. (Kathy) Mercer of Brookeland, TX; sister-in-law, Rosemary Sanders of Zavalla, TX; granddaughters, Addison Jackson and Lillian Goynes who loved their Noni very much and many other family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 9th at 2:00PM at Christ United Methodist Church in Milton, FL. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Renalus, Santa Rosa Medical Center, Select Specialty Hospital and Covenant Hospice. We are forever grateful for the care and compassion you showed mom and our family. In Lieu of flowers please send donations to Select Specialty Hospital or Covenant Hospice. “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.”
