John H. Bassham, Sr., 66, of Pensacola passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013. Mr. Bassham was born in Moko, AK and resided in Pensacola for the past 11 years. He was a Vietnam veteran and served on the USS Lexington for several years. John was retired from General Motors with 31 years of service. He loved trout fishing and hunting. John was preceded in death by his father Charles, mother, Mable, step father, Herb, and sister, Charlene. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Sharon; children, Chris (Thomas) and her children, Jillian, Elias and Kenlee, Hank (Cathy) and his children, Rachel, Becca and Catie, and Erin (Beau)and her children Abram and Ivy; brothers, Lonnie, Ron and Jimmy; loving mother-in-law, Reather; and many loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
