Haywood Ward, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on October 31, 2017. He was born on July 15, 1931 in Baker, Florida. He was self-employed and was the owner and operator of many businesses. Haywood was a veteran of the United States Navy and attended Ferry Pass United Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leeman Admiral Ward; mother(s), Euna and Lucille Ward; and brother, Leon Ward. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Ward; children, Craig (Patty) Ward, Robin (Robert) McGarry; grandchildren, Cale Ward, Nathan Ward; brothers, Raymond (Sylvia) Ward, Gene (Bonnie) Ward, Wayne (Margaret) Ward; sisters, Louise Johnson, Larris Mack, Alice (Larry) Hall, Evelyn Hudson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Cheryl Allender, Susie Martin, Rebecca Nance and Covenant Care Hospice.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00am at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with a memorial service to begin at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, the family has requested donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011 Washington D.C. 20090-6011.
