Ida Movolene Hamrac, age 85 of Pensacola, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017. She was born to the late Clarence and Ida Katie Pitts on March 21, 1932 in Evergreen, AL. On December 23, 1949, she married the love of her life, James Calvin Hamrac, Sr.
Movolene loved her family deeply. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life. She never ended a visit or phone conversation without saying “Love You More”. Our Nanny loved the Lord and held steadfast to her faith throughout her life. She loved serving the Lord and was a long standing member of Marcus Pointe Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Katie Pitts, her husband, James Calvin Hamrac, Sr., her brothers, Lanier and Emory Pitts, and her sister, Voncile Wright. She is survived by her son, James Calvin Hamrac, Jr. (Debbie) and her daughter, Vicki Hill (Larry). Her surviving six grandchildren are James Michael Hamrac (Stephanie), Nikki McCammon (Chris), Tiffany Alltop (Danny), Jessica Beauchamp (Brian), Caleb Hill (Kristin), and Adam Hill (Melissa Jackman). Her surviving fifteen great grandchildren are Avery, Jacob, Abbie, Lillie, Cody, Taylor, Logan, Baileigh, Allyson, Addie, Brady, Joshua, Henley, Emma Rose, and Eden.

A celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church in Pensacola, FL with Brother Gordon Godfrey officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 2, 2017, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.

    I am so sad at the passing of my dearest friend, one I could always confine in during lonely and happy times. Even though we weren’t in touch much our later years, I knew one phone call away was all I needed! Now I will miss my number one, beautiful lady who was always so joyful. Yet, I know where she is today and one day we will meet again in heaven and walk the streets together. Thank you Jesus for the time and opportunity of having this special lady in my life, one who will always hold a special place in my heart and one I will always love!!!
